THiS SUNDAY:: Grace for life:: HUMILITY part deux
POST PONED!! Until Sept. 12 - WEED and FEED BBQ after Church on Sunday! Due to rainfall predictions. Sunday Sept. 12 - we'll serve up some great BBQ  and do some grounds care for the school - JOIN US after PAXworship for some food, clean up of the property and pulling the crazy long weeds that are choking out our beautiful flowers!
YOU CAN BRING:: food to share (side dishes/ drinks/ desserts) and yard work clothes/gloves, etc!  HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

LAST SATURDAY 1-4pm there was a Family Fun Fair and BBQ put on by the Caring and Learning Center at Mulgrave Park Housing!!
THANK YOU for a ALL THOSE who were able to take their Saturday Afternoon and serve! The Community was thrilled to have us serving!


MONDAY: PAXcore is asked to PRAY and FAST for our community. Fast from media, coffee, food, facebook, music in the car or i-pod on the bus. Pray for those in your sphere of influence, for favor in our community, for God to visit us with renewal and salvation; Pray this week for those struggling with addiction, rejcetion and relationship sorrow. Pray for the contacts made at Metro Turning Point this week, alot new guys on the streets these days..  Praise: For God's direct leading in many ways- unique opportunites at Mulgrave Park housing opening up for PAX for the fall; For several new people who have begun to attend PAX- connecting in to our community. Pray: Pray for the start up of our fall ministries: REJOICE, Girls Mentoring, D-Groups, Value Projects, new people attending; Pray for possibilities of streetlevel internships and two potential church plant canidates starting through assessments. Pray for Tara M as she moves to Ottawa and begins studies in law school. - THANK YOU TARA FOR ALLOWING GOD'S GRACE TO SHINE THROUGH  YOU AND SHAPE YOU!

7-9am - Brunswick Street Mission Breakfast- come hang out, serve and encourage
6pm- 9pm THE FISH-  St. Paul Parish -Argyle St- Come enjoy coffee, play games, share life, with those who may need a listening ear.

RUNNING AND READING GROUPS! - We are entering our fourth year of hosting this excellent after school program in our local schools! This is an opportunity to mentor kids in physical activity and educational growth. You don't need to be an outstanding athlete or professional teacher to participate. You need to be willing to give up a couple of hours a week to mentor, read to, sit with kids at our local schools and encourage them that they are able to make positive steps towards health and wholeness in their lives. We are re-lauching this program at two schools in the Northend of Halifax- in October (training in September); Also, we are lauching a third running and reading program in Halifax in the Northend of Dartmouth! GOSPEL JOURNEY 101 - Starts second week of September
Here you will be able to interact with the core values and beliefs that shape PAX North.THIS CLASS is six weeks long. THIS CLASS IS A MUST if you are joining our Discipleship Small Groups.

This class is Currently being offered three times a year.

Caution: This class will confront your idea of Traditional Church, Modern Church, Liberal Church, Mindless Church and more. It will challenge not to become a better Christian but a better follower of Jesus Christ. This class is a MUST if you want to journey further with PAXnorth!

THEOLOGY CRAWL! Fires up the first week of October!
The first Thursday of each month, 7:30pm location a Halifax Ale House, Brunswick Street. This class allows for a relaxed setting to read and discuss Applied Theology. Our new study will be "Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis. You will be required to read 15-30 pages each month and come ready to interact.
